O=8 People to Emulate

Orlando Bloom- My bestfriend Emily and I used to be absolutely in love with this guy. We were huge Pirates of the Carribean fans and of course Orlando Bloom was one of the big names in those movies. I later read in an article a few months ago that he let his wife name one thier kids after one of her exboyfriends. He seemed like such a cool guy in the movies. Especially in thesword fighting scene in the first movie and now hes growing a family. It seems so weird to look back on that but that'd be a cool thing to tell your kids. Maybe I could be as chill as him one day.

Conan O'Brien- He's hilarious and I would watch him much more often if he were on at an earlier time. It's a shame he got screwed over with the whole Jay Leno thing. Team Coco for life.

Barak Obama- He overcame alot being the first african-american president. Although I wouldn't want to be president he worked very hard for what he has now and I admire that.

Colby O'Donis- Hes a pretty unknown popstar but he gets the ladies. He won  a teen choice award with Lady Gaga for singing in Just Dance. I've known him for a while cause I've seen him on Brooke Knows Best. He has an amazing singing voice, I wish I could sing like that.

Oprah!- Shes quite rich and quite the figure head for many people. My mom loves her and always had her on when she used to have her T.V. show. Oprah is so strong especially for dealing with so many other peoples problems. My favorite shows were her favorite gifts. I hope to be able to give like that to other people one day.

Olivia Wilde- Shes so gorgeous, and shes dating Jason Sudeikis,  a hilarious cast member on Saturday Night Live. Although she had a divorce after 8 years to her exhusband she's clearly rose from the ashes and I admire that although I'd like to skip the divorce part if I could in my life.

Oscar Dela Hoya- He was a professional boxer, I love boxing and think its a great way to stay fit, although I have been skipping out on my training recently. He must have had a lot of dedication to this and I hope I could find that somewhere in me so I could get up off my lazy butt.

Osi Umenyiora- The defensive end for the New York giants. He makes mad money and is doing something he enjoys doing. That's gonna be me one day, just wihtout being a football player.

TU Tuesday - Culture *Late

Interpret, analyze, and evaluate culturally diverse narratives, poetry and drama, aesthetically and ethically, by making connections to other texts, ideas, cultural perspectives, eras, personal events and situations. Self-select text to respond and develop innovative perspectives.'

"Giant Olympic rings floated down the Thames River in London to mark 150 days until the start of the Summer Games." England has not hosted the Olympics since the 1948 summer olympics. Imagine the pride this country must have to finally be hosting after 60+ years. "London Mayor Boris Johnson launched the spectacle as he announced free cultural and entertainment events" London seems extremely proud and prepared. In the poem To an Athlete Dying Young by Alfred Edward Housman he talks about pride."The time you won your town the race, We chaired you through the market-place; Man and boy stood cheering by, And home we brought you shoulder-high." And then he talks about defending an award. "The fleet foot on the sill of shade, And hold to the low lintel up, The still-defended challenge-cup." The last summer olympics England came in fourth with 19 gold 13 silver and 15 bronze for a total of 47 medals. Maybe they'll manage to do better this year or at least hold onto what they've got.

Valentines Day *Late

I know he loves me because he holds the door open. He holds the door open everyday for me. Like he's inviting me for a party or a special get-together. I know this might seem silly, knowing someone loves just because they hold the door open but it's been 34 years and he stilll holds the door open everytime I get home. Just think this all started years ago in the classroom everyday. I know he loves me because he holds the door open, still 34 years later and I never over look it.

The alarm clock cannot defend itself

Untitled

The alarm clock cannot defend itself
From the slamming hands
The morning groans
And the night owls

The alarm clocks only friend is
The early riser
The morning man
And the early dawn awakener

Why should the ngiht owls
Become mad at the alarm
When it's simply doing the job
That you instructed it to do

And for the early dawn awakeners
That morning sound of
Buzz Buzz Buzz
Is what they look forward to

Every
Night

Comic Connection

This comic relates to my life because I used to LOVE calvin and hobbs as a kid and it really helped me pass the time. The strips where he showed calvin being some diferent animal or like spaceman spiff, and crash landing on some alien planet even though he jsut in his sand box really inspired me to be creative and use my imagination. Just like in this strip Calvin is in his own little world and I often felt like that too. In this one Calvin's also being rather subborn, another big trait of mine.

pep talk

Conquer today

This relates to my life because I just believe in taking it one day at a time and to deal with stuff when it happens. I hate being anxious about something so I put it off till I have to deal with it. That might seem like procrastination but life's too short to have to be worried and concerned and crying. Take it one day at a time and live it to the fullest. Enjoy every day with no regrets. :)
